Hey folks! Ramil is here. ES1RAM. QTH: Tallinn, Estonia, KO29hk. Been an SWL for quite a time, around 20+ years. In April 2018 I made a step forward to take CEPT Class B exam and received my ham license and callsign.
At home I am using Yaesu FT1000MP Mark V, rather old but reliable and very powerful transceiver. My favorite bands are 20 and 40 meters SSB. Summertime I am using Ten Tec Orion 565 AT at my summer house shack. Both rigs are run at their factory power settings with no amplifiers. Home QHT is equipped with – 10-20-40-80m Bands End-Fed Resonant Antenna with feed point elevated to 8 meters from the ground to be in a good book of neighbors and XYL. Summerhouse QTH is equipped with Spiderbeam`s Aerial-51 Model 404-UL multiband asymmetrical dipole antenna installed as an inverted V with the feeding point elevated on 12m telescopic pole. Also running 6-watt Aerial 51Sky-SDR QRP rig with a random wire antenna while on a walk in the forests with my kids.
Quite recently I started FT8 mode operation.
